Do your part to encourage a strong voter turnout from Ohio’s creatives by hosting an ArtsVote Ohio Postcard Party. This is a fun way to gather friends, fellow creatives, and community members to encourage local artists to make a plan to vote.
Here’s what you need to know:
- ArtsVote Ohio will provide:
- Postcards with art by Ohio artists for your event, with suggestions for messaging.
- Guidance on partnering with a local arts not-for-profit to get a mailing list of area artists (if you need it)
- Marketing tools (language and graphics) to help promote public events.
- Event promotion on the ArtsVote Ohio event calendar (for public parties).
- Listing of participating businesses and nonprofits on the artsvoteohio.org website as partners.
- As the host, you’ll need to:
- Provide the location and postage.
- Make initial contact with the local arts non-for-profit of your choice (if you aren’t a not-for-profit host)
- Invite your friends or community members.
- Customize your event—keep it private or open it up to the public!
Postcard Parties can be as simple or creative as you’d like. Gather around a table or host a bigger event—either way, you’ll be helping Ohio’s creative community make their voices heard at the polls.
ArtsVote Ohio needs one week’s notice to provide postcards for a Postcard Party. Postcard Parties are available September 25 through October 29, 2024.
